And the merge has happened...

Day 1 of the Journey together. When we all woke up this morning we were individuals from 2 completely different states, cities, communities, and backgrounds. However, as 2:00PM rolled around, the merging of two different groups began. Sanctuary (Phoenix group) arrived in L.A. around two and stayed at Chaim's (L.A. Leader) house until it was time to make our way over to the church where everyone was to meet up.

From there it was on! The two groups quickly became friends! In my 11 years of doing ministry I have never seen two COMPLETELY DIFFERENT groups mesh so well! Praise God! From Chaim (Filipino) wearing his Manny Pacquiao shirt to NASCAR loving Ryan (Caucasian) it just clicks! I am very excited to see how God is going to use the different backgrounds of our group for His glory!

After completely invading In-N-Out for dinner and taking over their patio section with all 23 of us we headed down to Venice Beach. Some of us sat on some blankets and watched the sunset, some went hunting for Hermit Crabs and sea shells, while some (the braver ones like Derek and Patrick) went head first in the freezing cold Pacific Ocean. While there we continued to bond with each other and grow together.

Now as it is time to close the door on Day 1 of our 13 Day Journey I do so with uttermost satisfaction. We couldnt have had a better start! Watch out Chile because we are coming and we are NOT holding back!!!! I can guarantee it!!! Please pray for us as we will be traveling from LA to Chile in just a few short hours. Pray that we get through Customs without a problem, pray that God will begin to soften the hearts of the Chilean people. Pray that we will see where the Holy Spirit is working so that we can join Him!

We love you all,

Tim Jennings (Sanctuary)
